  • We will register 800 organisations as approved providers of the vInspired Awards by 2016. This will increase the number of young people able to provide official records of their volunteering to prospective employers.
  • vInspired will renew and improve the vInspired Awards in 2016, which will enable many more young people to reflect on the skills they have gained through volunteering, and showcase their achievements to employers and education providers. We will build our awards in partnership with organisations delivering and supporting youth social action.
  • We will support The Jubilee Centre for Character and Virtues research into developing a habit of service in young people. We will do this by offering our young volunteers the opportunity to participate in this research in 2016.
  • We will act as an ambassador for, and communicate about, the #iwill campaign to our network and affirm the importance of youth social action, encouraging our partners and award providers to pledge to the campaign.

vInspired is on track to achieve its pledge to recruit 800 organisations to provide its Awards by the end of 2016, with 752 registered providers. The vInspired Awards provide a free and easy way for young people to reflect on the skills they have gained through volunteering, and showcase their achievements for CVs and university applications.

Quote from Beth Whitaker (21, Bradford), vinspired volunteer
“It’s hard to explain just how much difference volunteering makes until you do it. All I can say is that vInspired completely transformed my life. It gave me experiences I would never have thought possible and has given me the confidence to do great things with my life. Young people have all these amazing ideas and all this passion that is so often overlooked by society. With a bit of guidance, young people can learn new skills and build their confidence in order to make a difference now and in the future”
