The Brain Tumour Charity

At the Brain Tumour Charity we recognise the valuable contribution that young people can make and pledge to continue to develop roles that will involve young people in meaningful social action.

We will:

  • Develop our Young Ambassador programme, which empowers young people to campaign for change and raise awareness of brain tumours
  • Promote the ways that young people can have a direct impact on the early diagnosis of brain tumours in children and teenagers by getting involved in our HeadSmart Campaign
  • Invest time and energy into the training, development and progression of young people volunteering for the Charity
  • Embed youth social action into staff and volunteer culture by introducing the #IWill campaign at staff and volunteer inductions
  • Work with Step up to Serve to ensure that young people are recognised for their contributions to social action and are rewarded for the impact they make

We’ve just pledged to the #iwill campaign in November 2016, watch this space for our updates on how we do!

Quote from Charlotte Hill, CEO at Step Up To Serve
“The #iwill campaign is driven by leaders from across society who are committed to making youth social action a normal part of growing up in the UK.
We know that young people want to play an active part in improving their communities, and that in doing so, they develop their own skills for work and life.
Over 600 cross-sector organisations so far have pledged to support youth social action, and say #iwill. What will you do?”
