- Pledges to support 5,000 young people through our Wildlife Action Awards scheme in the next three year.
Since October 2014 we have had 144 16-20yr olds take part in residential volunteering on 44 of our reserves (only 5 of these reserves can offer volunteering placements for 16-18yr olds).
For the Wildlife Action Awards we have had 10,239 people take part since 2014 with 5,257 receiving Bronze, 2,534 receiving Silver and 2,448 receiving Gold.
We have replaced our Wildlife Action Awards with our new Wild Challenge. Find out more and take part at www.rspb.org.uk/wildchallenge.
Quote from Charlotte Hill, CEO at Step Up To Serve
“The #iwill campaign is driven by leaders from across society who are committed to making youth social action a normal part of growing up in the UK.
We know that young people want to play an active part in improving their communities, and that in doing so, they develop their own skills for work and life.
Over 350 cross-sector organisations so far have pledged to support youth social action, and say #iwill. What will you do?”
