#iwill has senior level support. Ian Powell, PwC Chairman, sits on the Advisory Board, and David Adair, Head of Community Affairs, sits on the Business Pioneer Group.

We support employees who volunteer with youth action groups in their own time with a £250 donation each year.

A team in Birmingham work with the Princes Trust Team Project, funding 10-15 young people for a 12 week course which includes a community based project. Our staff also provide skills based volunteer hours to support the team throughout the programme.

This year we have partnered with the National Literacy Trust to pilot a reading for enjoyment programme, with a strong emphasis on peer mentoring, to 5 of our partner schools. This programme is being funded by PwC Foundation donations raised in the Race for £3m, our firmwide fundraising initiative.

It also means a lot to our staff, read here about why Jack, a PwC Senior Associate, supports social action http://www.iwill.org.uk/social-action-developing-employability-skills/
