National Federation Of Young Farmers’ Clubs
- Grow and develop our social action programmes for young people we work with, ensuring they’re able to access a range of opportunities, regardless of their location.
- Provide our young people with the skills, confidence and support network to make a difference in their local communities.
- Ensure that young people taking part in our programmes know that they’re taking part in youth social action to ensure they can recognise the double benefit.
- Embed the six quality principles of youth social action provision into our programme, ensuring that every young person has a great experience.
- Celebrate and recognise the achievements of the young people involved in taking a lead in developing youth social action and ensure young people have a voice in decision making.
- Nominate young people as #iwill ambassadors to represent the work they’ve done through our organisation .
- Act as an ambassador for the campaign, encouraging our partners and support network to be part of the #iwill campaign.
- Share the learning we’ve developed through our National Youth Social Action Fund project, to support other organisations to create opportunities for young people in rural areas.
We are one of the largest rural youth organisations in the UK dedicated to young people who have a love for agriculture and rural life. Led by young people, for young people, our Young Farmers’ Clubs provide their 25,000 members aged 10 to 26 with a unique opportunity to develop skills, work with their local communities, travel abroad, take part in a varied competitions programme and enjoy a dynamic social life. You don’t need to be involved in farming to be a Young Farmer – just someone who appreciates the countryside and enjoys rural life. We’re excited to start 2016 by pledging to the #iwill campaign.
Quote from Charlotte Hill, CEO at Step Up To Serve
“The #iwill campaign is driven by leaders from across society who are committed to making youth social action a normal part of growing up in the UK.
We know that young people want to play an active part in improving their communities, and that in doing so, they develop their own skills for work and life. Over 350 cross-sector organisations so far have pledged to support youth social action, and say #iwill. What will you do?”
