Join In pledges to:
- Make it easier for young people to find volunteering opportunities
- Encourage young people to become ambassadors in our grassroots volunteer programme
- Help clubs recruit, retain and reward young volunteers through GIVERS workshops
Join In puts volunteers into community sport through campaigns, on-the-ground work and by matching people to volunteering opportunities at clubs in their area. Join In was created to harness the spirit of the London 2012 Games and this baton was handed to the Sport and Recreation Alliance in October 2016 to continue the sport volunteering legacy to create even more opportunities for sports volunteers across the UK. Volunteers contribute to a happier, healthier nation by getting more people active in sport and recreation.
