High Life Highland

High Life Highland (HLH) is a charity which aims to make the Highlands a better place to live, work and visit by developing and promoting opportunities in culture, learning, sport, leisure, health and wellbeing.

Youth Work and Adult Learning make up the HLH Learning for Life team which is rooted in partnership and collaboration with communities. It is about learning and achieving together. The HLH Learning for Life team provides and supports informal, life-long and life-wide learning opportunities, in our communities, which contribute to ensuring that Highland is a great place to live and work for all.

Learning for Life is about promoting and celebrating the value of all forms of learning. Learning for Life supports individuals and groups in communities to be successful learners, confident individuals, responsible citizens and effective contributors.

Learning for life also actively prioritises resources so that community learning opportunities are targeted towards improving the life chances of individuals and communities at greater risk of poorer outcomes of health and wellbeing, education and employment.

  • High Life Highland Learning for Life team pledges to support more young people to access quality social action opportunities through their local and regional participation structures.

We’ve just pledged to the #iwill campaign in November 2016, watch this space for our updates on how we do!

Quote from Charlotte Hill, CEO at Step Up To Serve
“The #iwill campaign is driven by leaders from across society who are committed to making youth social action a normal part of growing up in the UK.
We know that young people want to play an active part in improving their communities, and that in doing so, they develop their own skills for work and life.
Over 600 cross-sector organisations so far have pledged to support youth social action, and say #iwill. What will you do?”
