Get In Cornwall
Successfully implement the Get In Cornwall Project to meet the 6 principles of Youth Social Action:
Reflect: Use social, local & national media to share success stories of Volunteers, Work Experience Students and Apprentices; allowing young people to take pride in their achievements, understand their impact and continue to contribute to the Healthcare community.
Challenge: Raise aspirations, particularly of underprivileged young people. Provide learning and growth opportunities across Healthcare organisations, setting ambitious targets.
Embed: Reach out and integrate social action within the local community. Work in partnership with existing voluntary, community and educational services to increase accessibility. Link opportunities to qualifications, learning and careers (Apprenticeships, Care Certificate).
Social Impact: Build a future workforce that reflects the diversity of its patients, with the correct skills and attitudes to improve and sustain levels of patient care; engaging with our service users to measure our outcomes.
Progress: Build an innovative yet sustainable project – working in partnership with other trusts and organisations to anticipate the future needs of the changing Healthcare Sector.
Youth led: Develop a Youth Committee to represent the views of young people in the Healthcare community. Recruit Youth Ambassadors to spread their success and inspire other young people alike to help shape the future of the Healthcare sector.
