Ditty’s Home Bakery is an award winning artisan bakery in Northern Ireland. Robert Ditty, owner and baker, is a committed volunteer not only in his local community but also in Third World countries. Robert has pioneered fundraising campaigns to encourage skills development in remote villages focussing on the talents and skills that he and his staff team have to offer. Robert encourages his staff and the local community to get involved and the impact over the years has been immense. Ditty’ Bakery therefore pledges to:
- Highlight the impact of volunteering campaigns within the local community
- Recognise the commitment made by staff in campaigns
- Encourage young people in particular to talk of their volunteering experience within recruitment processes.
- Provide an endorsement for the Millennium Volunteers programme.
