Mintoes were the preferred mint of choice for Freya’s granny Ella Riley to keep in her handbag. As a child Ella used to take Freya to see the musuem in Batley Park in Yorkshire. They would walk up the steep rhododendron lined paths to the very top of the hill and once there Ella would rummage around in her handbag and produce 2 mintoes. One for her and one for Freya. They would then sit on the stone horse mounting steps outside the door of the museum, admiring the glorious rose gardens in quiet contemplation, each sucking on their mint. When they were done it was into the museum for a wander and a look at the much anticipated Mummy in the Egyptian room.
Mintoes, the mint that was made for sharing!
